The card is issued on the spot and you can choose the monthly subscription option or you can activate the e-wallet, a related option to the card.
The eWallet option requires you to deposit a minimum amount of 10 lei in the eWallet when issuing the card, which you can then use to pay for your journey by validating the STPT card. A journey paid for with the e-Wallet is valid for 60 minutes and it is possible to change means of transport during this time without validating again.

FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE ENROLLED AT TIMIȘOARA'S UNIVERSITIES, FACILITIES ARE GRANTED ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT AS FOLLOWS:
- Free for students enrolled at UPT and USAMV
- 50% discount for students enrolled at other universities
IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO GET THE STPT CARD WITH THE ABOVE FACILITIES, STUDENTS MUST PRESENT AN IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENT AND PROOF OF STUDENT STATUS - BOOKLET OR EQUIVALENT ON PAPER
