The teams will also be equipped with portable control devices with which they will be able to see whether the card has been validated, the validity period and the line(s) on which it is valid. The antenna built into the validator allows reading the data on the card without physical contact between it and the device. In this way, the card can be read, for example, from inside a wallet, purse, without having to remove it from it. Transactions between the validator and the card are made starting from a distance of 5 cm, but for a faster exchange of information it is useful to touch the card on the marked area.
